Of course my summer cold developed into something else. Thankfully I found some cold meds that got rid of all the symptoms so that I could still enjoy my day. I needed a bit of extra sleep though, so after breakfast I headed back to the apartment for a nap and some recuperating. Due to last night's late night shenanigans, we slept in and didn't get out until around noon. That was okay, though because our first stop of the day was Kaidou, a photo gallery which is only open on weekends from 1PM. We released our inner nerds today, our trip for the day was to Odaiba's Tokyo Big Site to take a look at this year's Comiket, the world's largest doujinshi fair. There are plenty of other things to see and do there, if you are into manga/anime/cosplay/idol culture at all, I'd recommend you go just for the atmosphere and the people ( Read more... )

Going to Mt. Fuji made us want to do some actual mountain climbing. We've hiked up Takao-san several times, so this time we wanted to do something different.

I've lost count of how many times I've visited Tokyo Disneyland now. I went twice in one week the first time I went, and it's been a tradition of ours to visit the park at least once every time we're in Japan. Tokyo Disneyland is one of the friendliest, happiest places I know ( Read more... )
